MBAREK
My name is Mbarek and I grew up in a desert community made up of 7 Berber families. We survived on what the land offered us, our animals and the fruits of the date palms.
I left my home behind to study at the University of Errachidia. I graduated with a degree in Geography which has helped me significantly in the work I’ve carried out in the tourism industry for many years.
AINARA
My name is Ainara. I was born and raised in San Sebastian, in the Basque Country.
I graduated with a degree in Biology and worked in the area of Public Health for more than a decade. I am wildly passionate about travelling and getting to know other places, different people and cultures!
I also love to share all I know about my city, Donostia-San Sebastian, to other travellers.

Our paths crossed on November 3, 2014.
They simply had to.
It’s clear to us now.
In fact, we sensed it the moment we first met.
I was travelling with a friend in Morocco.
Mbarek was our guide.
We treasured every single moment of those very few but unforgettable days we spent together in Morocco.
Until we had to had to say goodbyes.
The pain we felt being apart made it very clear that this encounter had been the beginning of something very special.
And we were not mistaken.
